An advanced course with one of the best speakers in the world that teaches that implants are not the only solution as is generally perceived. Preserving nature is essential. One must help the patient choose different treatment options and not be adamant only on implants. If implants are chosen, then how to place and maintain them in the best possible manner has been etched in our brains. The techniques of neovascularisation technique and nerve repositioning was also not shown as promised by LifeCare. These must be covered and please invite us to learn if these techniques are planned for future batches.

All my doubts were dispelled when I heard the best of speakers like Dr. Gerhard Iglhaut, Dr. Diemer and others teach us in a unhurried manner and with a lot of passion, clinical implantology in detail. There were many new things we learnt which were of practical use in our implant practice. The hands-on on pig skulls was a great way to learn by ‘doing’.
