| Final Examination |
| Participants who attended all workshops and two-dayresidencies are admitted to the exam. Case reports with documents of five individually performed surgeries and prosthetically restored patients have to be presented the day of the exam. |
| These include: radiographs afterprostheticrestoration), situation casts (initial and final cast with situation after delivery of the superstructure) and filecards. These case reports are presented and discussed during the examination. After passing the exam the certificates are handed over the same day during an evening event.. |
| Residency |
| Residency in clinic or private practice in order to be admitted to the final examination, attendance of two-day residencies are necessary. The participants attend and view implant placement, re-openings, and prosthetic restoration of implants during recall. Implant prosthetics and implant surgery are presented |
| Residencies may take place either in the same prac-
tice or clinic or at different locations. Prolonged resi-
dencies over several days are possible. Residencies during the Curriculum Implantology may only be
completed in selected private practices or in clinics that have committed to adhere to the “Binding guidelines for performing residencies and supervisions in the Curriculum Implantology of the DGI.” This ensures a consistent level for all participants. The names of these partners are given to the participants at the beginning of the course. They may select the practice or clinic according to their preference. |
