DGI
has been offering oral implantology as a topic
for postgraduate education since 1998. Our
courses have been able to provide practitioners
with all the necessary qualification and certificates
they need in order to in-corporate implantology
as a specialty into their practices. |
| |
|
| As
a scientific society, DGI has always maintained
its dedication to the highest quality standards.
Those who teach our courses must meet high
expectations. They receive supervision, hold
test lectures and have their performance reviewed
by course participants. Close co-operation
between professors and practitioners assures
that the connection between the highest scientific
standards and practical utility remains strong. |
| |
|
 |
The interaction
between science and practical utility
is assured by the locations at which
we offer our courses: both universities
and practice centers. Each seminar block
is led by different experts. This assures
the participants a great degree of insight
into many approaches and strategies
that play a role in oral implantology.
In this way, our participants are not
limited to the opinions of a single
expert At the same time, participants
can learn on the spot how implantology
in its many variations can be integrated
Into a thriving practice center. |
|
| |
|
| The
Curriculum on oral implantology that we offer
is independent of any particular manufacturer.
Participants can learn about the most advanced
systems of many different manufacturers. These
companies have no influence on the contents
of the Curriculum. The continuing education
we offer runs for approximately one year.
It includes 4 modules with a total of more
than 175 hours of instruction, which provide
an overview of the entire area of endosseous
implants. Study Groups typically are no larger
than 25 participants. . |
| |
|
| Every
lecture unit offers a mixture of theory, practice, observation
of live procedures and practical exercises.
The Prog. usually runs from 9 a.m. until 6p.m.
Every session ends with an examination. The
final element of the program consists of two
whole-day residencies in a private practice
or a clinic. Dates are offered just prior
to the annual meeting of DGI in order to allow
participants the possibility to attend the
meeting easily A final exam with fellow practitioners
takes place at the end of the training series.
In addition, the participants must provide
evidence that they have performeda minimum
of five surgical-prosthetic treatments on
their own. |
